To clear up any confusion, regarding the next season/sequel:
At the current pace and how overwhelmingly shoot-focused the releases are, the story progresses too slowly. It took two years of development time to finish Meredith's arc, how much longer must it take to complete the rest of the story?
For us to have a shot at finishing the project, I must impose a few changes to speed things up so I can finish the project in a reasonable time-frame. At this rate, it can easily take up more than a decade.
A sequel, instead of a continued release, is a better approach for multiple reasons:
1. Reduce file-size bloat. Now it's approaching 8 GB, and I'm constantly having to re-upload files because it just. keeps. failing. There are methods to alleviate file size problems, but I'd still like to post a version without any compression.
2. Reduced Variable bloat. There are a lot of variables in Game of Hearts, and not all of them are relevant for future releases. A fresh state keeps things cleaner, and I plan to use different methods of recalling choices and character states in the future. The internals of Game of Hearts are cumbersome to navigate, file names(music, images, and animations) are difficult to keep track of and recognize.
3. A different vision of how the renders will be presented. It no longer matches my past renders and presentation.
4. UI and Font changes.
The sequel is a continuation of Game of Hearts. It moves a bit faster and contains a more varied cast of characters and situations, with an updated look and UI while keeping file size reasonable to an extent.
Again, I must repeat:
There will be new married/romantically involved people to deal with.
All the characters from Game of Hearts will also be present, although they will have to take a step back to allow the new characters space to shine.

So, I guess with new preview pics that variable bug will never be fixed in game of hearts. I guess do I risk playing the game and ruining my game and experience, or not play it at all, just a stupid thing really. It's a shame the dev is ignoring this when all I want to do is play, but not run into the bug. Just a disappointment and let down.

Hello, just wanted to say this game is outstanding in every way. The way you convey thoughts and feeling is incredible. Like I felt so bad for doing some of those things to certain characters lol. I could go on for days about how amazing this is. Can't wait for the next game. I noticed there wasn't a save now at the end. Will our choices carry over and if so how? I'm playing on my android phone. I hope one day I can afford to support you because you deserve it more than most. Thanks for the time and effort you put into this masterpiece. Amazing job

So, I know I asked before and you may be busy, which is understandable, but is there going to be an update to season 1, I heard there is a variable bug on attraction path and am scared to start and encountering the bug. So will ther be an update, please answer when you have time, thank you.

Chapter 5 as a whole was exceptional, and the epilogue was genuinely one of the most captivating and emotional sequences I've seen in a AVN. Nearly brought me to tears. I am worried slightly about the new render presentation and what that entails. I love the intimacy and close ups in the current presentation. I do hope that can carry over. I loved this. Thank you and I'm genuinely looking forward to Houses of Hearts and hope you continue to persevere and manage your workload to bring this story to a triumphant finish. You deserve that and so does this story.
