What did you think of Chapter 9?
🕑 Added 2025-07-18 00:00:06 +0000 UTCChapter 9 is out!! I feel like it's been so long since we've had a story-focused update!! I was starting to miss it! This one in particular has been on my mind a lot, there has been a lot of writing and rewriting character motivations to make that -thing- that happened make sense story-wise and emotionally. So I really wanna hear you guys' thoughts- how was everything?
Chapter 10 is turning out to be -far- more complex than I had originally planned, so get excited for that! I know it's sad knowing we're near the finish line, but don't worry- I'm always gonna be around making stuff! In fact, I already have some plans for something else... But who knows when we'll see that...

My thoughts on the chapter, if you'll allow me to be a little critical. First of all, the banter and character dialogue was on point as usual, if not at it's best in this chapter, and the tripping scene was the best section of the chapter being so crucial to an aspect of Naomi's character arc you've been focusing on since the beginning. Overall though, I'd say the rest is weaker than Chapter 4-8.5. And it does feel very Chapter 3-ish in terms of stakes at times for something that's supposed to be the penultimate chapter. I do think the central conflict does have somewhat of a pacing issue, as it stands you're going to have to do a LOT of stuff in Chapter 10 regarding that. On a sidenote, the "something else" planned makes me predicting a prequel regarding the world from 3000 years ago and whatever conflict the knights had, but if it's an unrelated new work I'm sure I'll enjoy it all the same.

short but pretty good. i'm wondering if we're ever going to get future content of Mitzi eating Naomi or Renee in the story.
