The first of many concept art pieces for our collaboration with Po-ar, Beastly Portents. Lydia is a master miller: a maker of oil and keeper of amphoras and other pottery. Her role in the city of Thalipolis is relatively small... but the one she will play in the coming war between Gods and Mortals is much bigger.
We first designed Lydia with a concept of her smearing a snake-pattern on the ceremonial paint after being adorned, but Po-ar came in clutch with the idea of a tattoo that would glow at the climax.
This will be an utterly filthy comic: can't wait for you all to get mad horny.

I really love the choice of blue for the body paint. It gives me big woad vibes, while also evoking like.. a grecian/minoan feel, and also reminds me of white china with the blue designs. It's such a good blue too.
