As for this episode specifically, avoiding spoilers : Shinji is very suspicious from what we see here, but he shows a clear interest in Ichigo. Why? It raises questions doesn't it? One thing you may have missed during the conversation between Hirako and Ichigo is he tells Ichigo to calm down because of how strong his reiatsu is. He said "The world will tremble, and they will notice you". His power, without being flexed intentionally is that strong. Fun little fact isn't it? What do you guys think so far? You have no idea what's going on or why, the same as us when we first watched this; Ichigo's afraid of his own strength, and things will definitely kick off again; what can he do when he feels like he's a danger to himself and others?
