This show never fails to shock. Arya. Stannis. Sansa. Cersei. Jon. I know Olly had his reason from which he would never be swayed, but that scene breaks my heart every time. About Stannis. Though I appreciated some of his qualities, as you guys have mentioned - Stern, steadfast, decisive, unwavering - at best, I was ambivalent about him. At worst - well, we all know that. I think he was very one-dimensional. I don't think he ever gave one fart about ANY of the people he wanted to rule over. I don't think he cared about the kingdom or its people. Didn't care about his army. Certainly not before, and even after they started to desert him, he never did one single thing to inspire them. I always felt like he was looking for a shortcut with Melisandre. Thought he could bypass all the necessary steps to press his claim. But I am thrilled that Brienne finally met up with him! Anyway, awesome reaction. Thanks!
