So I just wish this video was analyzing this person.. frozen in time (common in anorexia - starts around puberty as a way to delay sexual development). Has she been in relationships? The childlike thing and still dressing scene is... very much in line with staying frozen at whichever age she's been trying to preserve her body at. (How Nickelodeon actors are taught disordered eating so that they maintain an adolescent body..)

Anorexia is the deadliest mental illness... super high mortality rate. I wish you guys considered that when talking about the constant speculation about her "being alive" eg (did her eating disorder kill her yet?) Zooming into her midol example probably has to do with *amenorrhea* (the absence of menstruation). I am in recovery for AN-R and can say that the level of "sickness" is a form of validation / reassurance that you are **exceptionally** thin. It's not meant to be aspirational to anyone but to the "select few" who also think this way (see: pro ana phenomena). What's true about recovery on a residential / inpatient level of care is that medical stability and nutritional rehabilitation is prioritized. Not even treating the relational / psychodynamic underpinnings. I never experienced BDD like I did when I was weight restored. It was something I never anticipated.... Comments about appearance are *disturbing* to the person in recovery. We almost always hate how we look. Eating when you are as sick as she was at the time is excruciating (the severity of the ED isn't determined by body size... but not all EDs pose a threat to your life quite the same way). The nutritional rehabilitation process is physically exhausting, hormonally you are so fucked. Every single organ has been implicated. Your digestion takes years to normalize... when you eat you feel physically ill. Moreover... her brain is soooo compromised from a decade plus of *literally* living in a famine state. Idek how much she can plan ahead. Probably struggles with alexathymia (struggles to identify + notice emotions). It is uncommon for anorexics to let anyone "in"... it's also rare to be 'so exceptionally sick'. (Eg, patients will show off that they've had feeding tubes as a badge of honor. The world thinking she looked good at the time probs made others' opinions even less believable ~ lol~
