The Saudi connection to Mandalay Bay is, purportedly, that four floors (35-39) of the Mandalay Bay is owned and operated by Four Seasons, which is partially owned by Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal's conglomerate the "Kingdom Holding Company". The massacre was cover for some sort of operation gone wrong: either gunrunning, or some internal struggle with the House of Saud. Some theories say it was meant to be a hit on MBS who was incognito nearby, or perhaps another member of the royal family, who was supposedly flying in at the airport across the street or potentially on an unmarked helipad on the roof of the building. The guns were brought to Paddock's room (3 floors down from the Four Seasons) via roof access by the black helicopters reportedly seen, though they could also have been transporting a VIP away from the scene instead. What is not theory, is that 34 days after the massacre, MBS went on to confine and purge many Saudi businessmen and members of the family in his vie for the throne, including Al-Waleed bin Talal and two other billionaires, who had their wealth stripped from them and centralized under MBS. I don't necessarily believe the theories, but it makes just as much sense as the official story of a milquetoast dude who wasn't comped free shit and used 30+ guns to fire wildly at a concert and a distant airport.
