you're completely missing my point. i agree that it's better when Tim is the only one talking. but if the producer HAS to talk, which he did a few times in this episode, he needs a mic so we can hear the dialogue.

The most fun job I have ever had in my entire life, Waffle House! I intentionally did NOT say the best job I've ever had, just the best time you could have at work. I was working 9pm - 7am, as many blunts as I could smoke, $8.00/hr. The person who trained me had been there for TEN YEARS, I only uppercase this because he made $8.50/hr! After an entire decade. And he knew that he could never make anything more than that despite his dedication and ability to do the job well. The thing about the WH is this, people are at "the high bar" which is seated roughly 6 feet behind your workspace... they are watching every single little move you make, and they want to see a show. This is why nobody wants to work there since you need to be able to cook up to three tables at a time, with no tickets to reference at all! Now, if you have never been a line cook, you may not realize, but this sounds like living hell! And it is, for most people. I have this weird thing in my brain where I was somehow able to do the job, well enough that the waitresses would get into arguments if they didn't get any shifts with me. I LOVED IT! If you have never had the experience of eating at the WH, you are missing out! And you probably live somewhere above the Mason-Dixon line because I think they only exist in the south.
