I’m surprised you haven’t heard the term “sticks in my craw” before. I must be really old. Lol! It’s an idiom that uses the term for a bird's crop, a pouch where food is stored before digestion, to symbolize something lodged and difficult to move past. It’s something that annoys, or irritates you.
