After binging everything on RR I subbed on here, if the quality stays this high I'll be here for the foreseeable future!

Steven Bartels

This was great as always! Thank you!

Most of those caverns are probably approaching a kilometre tall

The first trial run of any boss is always rough. Can’t wait to see how it gets rebalanced!

Vladistad

I can't wait for the next chapter where Isid & crew will be reporting back to Medea island's guildmistress with each of the guilder's stories about all the crazy things they just witnessed within the dungeon, as well as Layla's resulting headache, brainstorming/thheorycrafting session and potentially any deals she might be tempted to make in order to obtain more information on the various goings-ons within the dungeon. In particular, I wonder if anyone caught a glimpse of the metal sprite exiting & fleeing from the boss's body as they defeated it, as well as whether or not they link the two events. Also, I'd like to suggest that the next iteration of the fifth floor's guardian/boss have 'eyelids' over its non-regenerative crystal eye, as well as a special enchanted shield that can absorb incoming spells, transmit them back to the eye on the main body, then fire the spells right back at those casters through said eye, simultaniously allowing the guardian to utilize the guilders' spells against them, whilst also forcing itself to reveal its weakpoint every now and then, as it would need to open its eyelids to utilize the spells it has stored, as reflected spells would hit itself otherwise, if these changes were implemented, they could convert this boss, swapping its current form of a quasi-invulnerable slugger balanced by an achilles heel, with that of a regenerating, multi-limbed, largely melee-focused boss, built around the mechanic of absorbing & returning the spells cast at it, becoming vulnerable only in those moments, thus keeping the guardian balanced for the floor its on. As an aside, should our dungeon MC make the changes I suggested while also wishing to reward the guilders who plumb his depths with special items, I would reccomend that the prize for defeating the new and improved fifth floor boss ought to be an enchanted buckler/targe, one which combines the effects of the guardian's crystal eye & its special shield, the targe/buckler's boss would look exactly like the eyelids which protected the guardian's crystal eye, whilst the remaining space on the shield's front would be decorated to have the look and designs of the boss' special shield, the buckler/targe itself would have two modes of operation, absorb mode and return mode, while in absorb mode, the shield's eyelids would remain closed, and any spell impacting the shield would be nullified & stored for future use, in return mode, the shield's eyelids would open, revealing a crystal eye similar to that of the guardian's own eye, in this mode, spells that had previously been absorbed can be shot from the shield's eye, some caveats to this special item would be that the shield can only hold a certain amount & power of spells, spells above such limit are not absorbed, stored spells can only be removed from the storage by casting them with return mode, spells cannot be absorbed whilst in return mode, and return mode can only be used to cast spells which are currently in storage.

Cackles madly in amusement*

What happened to MC's plan for rewarding? Something cool after defeating the 5th floor boss would be good. Perhaps a one-time teleportation scroll for each member

The Guilders gained gained cuts and heavy bruising for their trouble Either way, it'd be getting a new to inhabit.

Philipp Gawol

The MC may want to start asking for advice or even permission, before performing larger experiments. Like, let's say increasing the mana-density of the entire island. Especially in regards to spatial enchantments, since those potentially have crazy failure outcomes. He may also want to ask how mana is generated in nature, since his use of such a large quantity may cause ecological damage, if he doesn't find a way to generate it for himself.

Undead Writer

Thanks for the chapter!!

RedFaux

Around 6 kilometres already deep already? Certainly doesn't feel like that. Felt it was more spread out
