37 minutes in and this argument that Tamler is putting forth that it doesn't matter that Rogan has on disinformation spreaders/grifters why does it matter (to him or should it matter to anyone?) is so disingenuous and short-sighted. I can't believe I'm having to point this out. It matters because although he is assuming that everyone has decent critical faculties available and can decide for themselves, we have plenty of evidence to the contrary. That's like saying "well, I don't subscribe to all of Putin's political or personal philosophies, or way of doing things but I can shrug those off and just admire the things I choose to filter out of all the stuff he puts into the world (and has the platform to do so)". Ignoring consequences is a really stupid way to live your life and not very clever way to choose who you believe or how you spend your time. *And* it's a viewpoint of someone with the privilege to do so (there's my culture wars contribution - lol). That's my admittedly judgmental take on it, from the standpoint of being a mother, a therapist, an activist (of sorts) and a conscious and caring human being. End of sermon.

I am attempting to chalk it up to him being drunk so as to not write him off as being a moron. I love VBW too much.

Agnieszka Z

Great episode!

Agnieszka Z

I hoped this would get mentioned too!

William LEGRAIN

I had to resub when I learned that you got both the VBW's on.

Jennifer Nelson

Me too, except for the mildly part. I found his Covid, vaccine/masking evidence take pretty disturbing. He needs to watch the Dr. Dan episode

elcid

I’m totally impressed and in full agreement with his take on Kirsten Dunst though…

Ryan Goss

One of the things Mick gets into on his channel is how even experienced pilots sometimes misinterpret the data recorded in "non-human" detection systems, like FLIR. Hope you enjoy, whether you agree with him or not!

Two of my favorite podcasts unite, I loved it, but next time review a movie that tackles the topic of ghosts directly, so I can watch Chris laugh at Tamler more, that was great. And to Tamler’s credit, his take on ghosts, that “something for sure is going on… and we should honor that”, really made me think.

Arabella Holzapfel

I do try to be skeptical, but "my understanding is" that at least some of the UAP behavior is verified by radar and other non-human systems. I'll check out Mick West. Thx!

Ryan Goss

While I do agree that UAP sightings are no longer equivalent to ghost sightings, Navy pilots are humans like the rest of us, prone to the same biases and illusions that we all are, and their reports should be taken with just as much skepticism as ghost sightings. Not to mention that many of those interviewed in that video you linked (and elsewhere) have made a career out of being a UFO alarmist/"whistleblower", which begets increased skepticism. I'm sure UFOlogers will roll their eyes at this suggestion, but take a look at Mick West's YouTube channel where he gives much more plausible explanations for the phenomena than aliens or advanced technology, and talks to pilots who claim to have seen a UFO or have attempted to explain sightings.

Yeah I'm making time for this one, skipping the others temporarily. So surreal to see VBW's mouths move - only ever heard 'em.

Ryan Jensen

Nah, keep em coming please! :)

Arabella Holzapfel

Here I am being an America-centric American, but have none of you podcasters heard about US Navy pilots and others encountering UAPs (the new UFO)? Major report about it in the NY Times in 2017 was the beginning, more recently was this on a weekly US mainstream news show: https://youtu.be/ZBtMbBPzqHY No longer equivalent to ghost sightings, imho.

Why are you trying to ruin my health, I need sleep you know. The first Pizzaro interview was my introduction to DTG and I have listened to that maybe 5 times. This was a very good episode I'm now looking forward to missing out on sleep and watching this instead.

Kyle Wilson

I’m mildly disturbed by how bad Tamler’s Rogan and COVID takes are

Grammaticus Gore

You should interview Chris Chambers (psychologist). He wrote the seven deadly sins of psychology. It’s very relevant to your interest surrounding the replication crisis.

Christopher Kavanagh

Consume at your preferred speed!

Grammaticus Gore

Liam Bright interview was gold. He is right when he called your views naturalist. Matt is closer to Quine than the logical positivists.

Grammaticus Gore

Slow down, fellas!!!! I can only find time for one or maybe two podcasts a week. So much content needs to be spread out.
