Visualisation of Gurometer scores to date
🕑 Added 2022-06-04 06:24:32 +0000 UTCWas playing about in R the other day and decided to make a visualisation of the Gurometer scores. Shared here for the non-Twitterati!
Bear in mind:
1) The scores are from the episode we did, not necessarily an up to date reflection.
2) This is based on Gurometer metrics, which basically count ‘Bad Secular Guru’ characteristics (though Moon’s scores suggest traditional Gurus max out the score).

can't remember how the scale is derived. does it account for actively seeking acolytes? or is it all related to claims and presentation?

Wasn't on a Decoding episode.

Poor Bret, always second fiddle to his brother.

Where is Sam?

I’m glad the 0-100 adjusted score was used here! The Gurometer is afflicted by the same scoring problem as yelp or google reviews. IE one cannot rate lower than 1/5 when giving a review.

Interesting suggestion of putting Jesus and Gautama (a buddha) on the gurometer :)
Cesare, But Def Not A Borgia
My thoughts exactly.

Sagan to Moon. That has some cosmic sense-making about it. Would be interesting to see where other religious gurus (e.g. Jim Jones) sat in comparison to Moon.

He’s mostly a bad copy. Alex Jones would get high but many InfoWars employees probably wouldn’t do so well.

How is Michael O’Fallon so low?

Why be coy? This proves it, call it what it is, The Weinstein Scale. Love the pod, cheers.
