Thought it was a good time to give a run down on what we have planned for our next episodes and a little farther afield.
First, in the editing bay we have:
1. Interview with the Conspirituality guys with an intro segment covering our old favourite Scott Adam’s recent appearance on TRIGGERnometry.
2. Interview with Julia Ebner on extremist communities, online dynamics, and the connections with or distinctions from the Guru set.
Then clipped and likely to be ‘next up’ are:
1. Sam Harris - based on his appearance with Chris Williams
2. Andrew Huberman and Peter Attia - covering how to read scientific papers (this might be a decoding academia episode that we also release).
3. TRIGGERnometry’s extremely revealing discussion of the reaction to Konstantin’s viral video and how they are capitalising on it. This is actually useful for examining the network dynamics of the figures we cover. Likely will be a special episode.
After that we have some overdue content:
4. Bret Weinstein with Alien Scientist on UAPs, UFOs (2nd part of Weinstein World meets Aliens after Mick West episode).
5. Matthew McConnaughey’s self help cult turn. Long overdue but need to get to this.
Some stuff we also want to cover and which might jump the queue includes:
6. Destiny (and likely a right to reply). Just need to find the right content.
7. Red Scare (maybe their recent episode with Bronze Age pervert for a 2-for-1 deal).
8. Peter Turchin being interviewed by Bari Weiss.
I’m sure there are other things I’m forgetting but this quite a bit already… if there is anything you think we’ve forgotten about make sure to remind us!
Matt and I have had hectic schedules lately due to grant applications, a work trip to Singapore, and some submission deadlines this month but things are looking a bit better from October. We should be on a fortnightly release with main episodes but if we can get more out earlier we will.
Decoding Academia will be back next week and we will be releasing two episodes on papers this month. I’ll post them up shortly.
For the Conspirituality release, we might throw up the early edit on the bonus feed today if we can get the major editing issues resolved but if not it will definitely be this weekend.

For the Destiny episode, maybe take one of his classic debates with another streamer (Vaush) and do a double feature: https://youtu.be/gteClaD9GKc?si=pOP3LpxFvwghK6n6. This specific debate is about the morality of hiding income as a communist/socialist entertainer. Lots of rhetoric to analyze! Alternatively, Destiny’s interviews with Chris Williamson or Lex Friedman may be good options, because you’ve already dealt with Chris & Lex in other episodes.

No rush, please! Make sure you're healthy, and your careers don't suffer.😃 As for the future line-up, have you considered Ian McGilchrist? Not a typical guru I think, but he's appearing with people like Jordan Peterson and Jonathan Pageau while promoting his book.

Me as well. My sister has some friends who listen to Attia and tried to turn her and her husband on to him. She was skeptical, partially because the friend who follows him seems to have some type of eating disorder herself and also because he was interviewed by Jordan Peterson.

Take your time fellas. I subscribe for the quality, not quantity. I understand and appreciate this is the 5% of your academic / work lives that takes 20% of the time.🙏. That said, I’m not paying any extra for the unedited version where Chris spends 76 minutes of the brief intro, indulging in a multi clip Jordan Peterson sequence to prove a single deleted tweet as hypocritical.

Ohhh Peter Attia. I'm very excited to hear this one! I briefly was a big fan of Peter Attia and I subscribed to his pod. But he always had some right wing dude bro friends which gave me reservations. And I feel during the pandemic, when that whole biohacking community got red pilled, he seemed to get a bit caught up in it to. Although I feel like he's too smart to really fall for that crap. But it's like he's trying to bend his scientific credentials as much as can in order to stay onside with his fans while they go off the deep end. Just my guess. But also after listening to Conspirituality pod it occurs to me he also probably has orthorexia. Which might also make him not the best person to take health & life advice from. I am personally a big fan of fasting. But 7-10 days once a quarter is disordered eating.
