- Knowledge Fight guys (podcasters) on Alex Jones as guru and trial stuff

- Becca Lewis (extremism researcher) on online extremism, alternative influencer networks, and probably her court appearance at Jones trial as an expert witness

- Neil Levy (philosophy professor) on Intellectual virtue signalling. Matt and saw him give a great talk on this which related a lot to online gurus!

- Konstantin Kisin (host of Triggernometry) debate on the issues of the heterodox sphere vs. threat posed by 'woke-ism' (arranged by Chris, after getting frustrated listening to his appearance on Rogan)

- Helen Lewis (journalist) on her recent documentary (not out yet) examining whether there is any validity to the claims social justice is a new religion
*End of the month
- Manvir Singh (anthropologist) discussion of shamanism and its relationship to modern secular gurus

- Julia Ebner (extremism researcher) on far right networks and her recent content analysis of mass shooting manifestos

**Also for full disclosure, Julia as well as being an established researcher is currently being co-supervised by Chris, so it will be fun to negotiate those dual roles in real time!

We are not exactly fans of Triggernometry and that is in part why the conversation might be useful. With Helen Lewis, it's certainly not going to be the focus of the conversation though might come up since it's often used as an example when claims about 'wokeness as a religion' are invoked. We'll see how the conversation goes. Stephen Hicks would be good to cover at some point but too much back log at the minute to add more!

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment re: Triggernometry their show is effectively early Dave Rubin. They only talk to people who share their 'views' although I am sure they would deny that. Also will you be discussing Trans issues with Helen Lewis? To be honest not sure where you stand but HL has attracted considerable blow back. Finally, ca you please invite Aaron back and do an episode on Stephen Hicks. The guy is the guru to the guru's and as Aaron alluded to the reason so many IDW types get everything so wrong about Marx, Foucault etc etc.

Can't stand the triggernometry guys, they have carved out their niche and are not seeking any truth whatsoever. They're on the Rubin track. Looking forward to the Helen Lewis talk though, her recent interview on blocked and reported was very interesting. She's Jordan Peterson's nemesis :)

Seriously, these pieces are so good–they remind me of a wonderful children's illustrator's work (named Matt Forsythe if yr interested). Please keep sharing! (I would have commented on Twitter but prefer to keep my acct private). And! I wanted to call attention to maybe the best Twitter joke I've ever seen, by some random account I have since forgotten–in response to Jordan Peterson's dissing the sports illustrated cover model: "I like big butts and I cannot cry." 😂
