Re narrative about wwII being a “ragtag of multiplicity???” versus one big evil . As a Pole whose history involves underground armies - living in wilderness, quite organized, hiding in villages - it’s not a narrative . Those are facts. Those underground networks spied for Britain and in the end lost their lives to either Germans or the “brothers “ of the Red Army (which brought “order” and authority by executing thousands of fighters, right after Germany folded) . And I know the nationalistic spin on our history maybe exaggerates the impact of the significance of the partisan fighters in victory itself , but their deaths were necessary for Stalin to control the entire country after WWII. I just needed to put that out because I was feeling salty. :)
