she had an academic career that hit a dead end. That's extremely emotionally taxing. And, she puts the cause as sexism (if I'm remembering correctly). In my case, I blame myself for my failed career, but I still have the occasional flare of resentment. If I thought the blame was primarily external, that would probably cause a lot of rage

What bothers me most about Sabine is that I can viscerally feel her contempt for scientists. She must have experienced (in her mind if not in reality) rejection of some kind that fuels this anger. I get that she also receives more likes, clicks, and money for it, but it doesn’t seem she is playing a part. I don’t know enough about her to say if there is a grievance back story she holds onto. I could just be picking up on her grumpiness.
