Let me tell you about a little idea... (pic from feature animation)
🕑 Added 2017-04-10 19:54:19 +0000 UTC So i've had a rather good idea about how to get you longer content quicker and have more say in whats going on.The feature animation seems to be taking an annoying back foot, the content I have so far isn't completed, but its enough to call it Episode 01.
By creating an episodic movies means it can get to you quicker, then work on another franchise episode (like Batman/Lara Croft, then if the first episode goes well and gets a good response I can create episode 2.
The length of the episode will be about 3-5 minutes, lets put this in perspective it takes about a week to do a decent 15 GIF, so there is a slight drop in quality of the animation but more unique content.
What do you guys think, would you rather wait a long time for longer content, or have it release like a TV series and have more say in what goes on?

I agree with this entirely. Making it into a series of episodes is an excellent idea. As you say this means the release of longer content in a quicker timespan. I think that one of the biggest advantages to it is the feedback aspect it would enable.

Episodic totally works, and it means your stuff is constantly being pushed out there, better reach and so forth. deffo the right thing to do :)

The sad and rather annoying thing is most of it is in fact rendered and this was pre preview renders to get the mediums bugs and mistakes out, most of its fine but it might be because i'm making it rather than 'using' it, I think its a learning curve to be implemented into the next one.

I think that the separation into episodes will allow to optimize the time spent rendering and debugging, long animations will require more time and resources than the GIF if I'm not mistaken

I would definitely upgrade first. So you can render things faster and make long videos. I can't to see your full work. π Great stuff

Im glad you think so, Its been a challenge to do consistent content of essentially 3 sectors of firebox, something has to give. initially it was the $5 thank you renders being chopped, now features being shortened. overall I think its worth it as everyone likes the GIFs.

Upgrades will happen most likely start of each month and depending if im saving up for a more costly item, Glad you appreciate the idea.
