Elsa VR Animation Release!
🕑 Added 2020-10-14 17:02:04 +0000 UTCIts all rendered and completed! it took a while too figure it all out with depth perception with a total of 5 days hard rendering but it is complete and working for PC and Phone.
This has pushed back the Mercy animation till next month as the time too figure all this out has basically ate up that time too animate, but I was hard at work so feel justified in pushing that animation till next month as I want too continue on the Aerith Tifa animation.
INSTRUCTIONS:
PC users (Valve index, Vive etc):
• Install Steam & Steam VR (https://store.steampowered.com/).
• Download DeoVR from Steam.
• Download 4K video from attachments in this post too a sensible folder.
• Launch DeoVR and access that folder through its system.
• Change settings under play button too this
• Make sure you click the X in the top right hand corner too close these settings as it will active the right eye and give you depth.
• Smash your spam baton or meat flaps until your launch liquids into the atmosphere.
• Go make a sandwich.
Android users:
You will need a suitable VR headset like this, make sure it fits your size of phone but I would test the video too see if it plays okay before you order it.
• Download DeoVR from play store (free).
• Download 2K Phone video from attachments in this post.
• Launch DeoVR and access downloads folder through its system. (you will have too aim the centre reticule over what your want and tap the screen if you don't have a bluetooth controller)
• Change settings under play button too this
• Make sure you click the X in the top right hand corner too close these settings as it will active the right eye and give you depth.
• Oil up that banister knob or stick two fingers in that sponge pudding.
• Shot of vodka and banana to freshen up.
Apple users:
You will need a suitable VR headset like this, make sure it fits your size of phone but I would test the video too see if it plays okay before you order it.
• Download "VRPlayer : 2D 3D 360° Video" from the apple store (Free)
• Download 2K Phone video from attachments in this post.
• Follow the instructions and set it up too be in VR Goggles and 180 Degree view.
• Massage your baguette or flick the man in the boat.
• Eat a stack of pancakes and then step outside.
TROUBLESHOOTING
People WILL HAVE SOME ISSUES! this is literally going across multiple platforms in many many ways, I will not have the answers too all questions but I would suggest you have a bit of a google if it is not working straight away as I am not an expert.
There are many many different types of players but the main thing is you download the correct video, look for the correct Up and Down eye splitting and 180 degree field of view.

I cant even get the video file to play
This is fantastic, running through DeoVR on PC. Will mention I disabled head tracking and zoomed 200% for optimal.

I've managed to get it working with my Huawei Mate 20 Pro and a Google Cardboard headset so it's definitely possible on phone, what app are you using to play it?

I have used this file on my own headset with an android p20 phone and also tested on a iphone8. What are you using it on?

all the VR files i have seen on my Android phone are formatted in Left Right fields. I don't think the Top Bottom fields that you made are useable for mobile VR.

Yo this is excellent. If you start doing VR stuff like this consistently I will definitely up my pledge tier. I don't know of any other creators doing this which is a shame because it's the logical next step. It works perfectly on my Oculus Go, though I did have to zoom in like 200% to see the goods. By default Elsa was very far away and like 90% of the view was the dude's chest.

No its h264 its just the way premier pro handles this, its the same settings par from the export size. Thank you glad you enjoyed it ☺️

Is the 4k h265 (it's smaller than the 2k). Might play nicer on some people's systems if its regular h264. Anyway, looks great. Would love some missionary/doggy POV, maybe some Anna ;)

Definitely second this idea, video facing us would be epic.
Super easy, download the file, put my phone into the headset, open file, BOOM! no hassle at all!

I’ve got a Quest with the link cable, and the PC4k file worked well in the DeoVR app for me, looks amazing!

If anyone else is using an oculus Quest- Quest has its own DeoVR app you can get from the store, and the proper file to use on Quest is the phone 2k, not the PC4k. 4k will just get you a greenscreen.
