Hey all! I'm back from my forced break - more on that below - and to get back into drawing digitally, I decided to do a little fun exercise of redrawing my Ismeddy outfit. I haven't used my old brush for sketching, or colored my art in a while now, so this was pretty refreshing!
I found this to be a good exercise in many ways - in self esteem, to appreciate myself and my sense of style ✨ in loosening my hand and getting back into drawing; and in making more low stakes, personal, on a whim art. This year I want to own my art and process more, indulge and experiment more, make things even more fun. So here's to a 2024 full of fun indulging art!

For full context - I really thought I'd only need a few days to recover, but the throat infection rendered me completely exhausted, voiceless, and gave me a case of acute sinutis - amongst other fun symptoms. After almost two weeks ill, I'm now coughing less and got my voice back (albeit still very hoarse); not 100% recovered, but I can finally return to regular activity. :')
This was a bumpy start of the year, but I'm looking up and looking forward.
