We attempted to give the jackals a heating pad..
🕑 Added 2024-10-14 14:00:16 +0000 UTCIt's getting very cold in MN very quickly, and as Jackals are native to Africa, they do not handle the cold very well. So, we got them a fancy extra large plug in heating pad so they can have a nice and toasty spot when it's colder out.
They wouldn't even let me set it up before they ripped the cover off it and tried to run away with the pad itself....
More attempts may be made in the future.

Maybe once it’s cold and they feel the warmth of it they’ll figure out not to eat it.

Mine…no mine…mine…tug tug tug…mine mine mine miiiiiiiine!!!🫣🤭. Looks like Ethan will be constructing something creative..such as a vented heated platform…and most likely protected from the elements where they can snuggle and be toasty while still sort of being outside🫤🦊🧡
