From your reaction my guess is that him showing his vulnerability in this way is new to the show? With everything Jole's gone through, it only makes sense that, at some point, something was going to eventually 'snap' from a psychological perspective. Fair do's to the writers for that addition, and a double fair doo do's (I said doo doo lulz) for the casting. All of the important/main cast have awesome chemistry together, and the girl who plays Ellie...wow! She can fucking act!
