Hana Exposure v1.5 Progress Log 4
🕑 Added 2024-07-01 19:54:48 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, the artwork is still a bit behind. Art guy has been having some technical issues, some of which have been caused due to the weather, and the artwork is not yet done because of it.
That's the bad news, but let's talk about the good side of things though. The update is done, but similar to last month, rather than let the game sit idly while we wait for the artwork, I went back and added more content to the expansion while we wait for the artwork to be complete. I added another persistent NPC event line which of course has a new NPC event available for it in each level once it's unlocked. This one came to be due to there being a body I had made for the expansion which has Hana lifting her skirt from behind, but it also kind of looked like she was undressing, and that gave me an idea... The other addition is a few random NPC events for the earlier levels. Practically all of the random NPC events I had added were available from level 5 and onwards. The ones I added this month give some random NPC events earlier in the game, outside of the persistent NPC events as those did offer plenty of NPC events since the early game.
There are a couple more things I added that honestly have no purpose or reason to be in the game. I just thought it would be fun. The main one is something I have always wanted to add to the game, because why not, but I never got to adding it. Took like 3 different evenings to add as I have never implemented or coded things among those lines, and it was completely worth it. The whole point of those things is that you don't talk about them as a dev, but it's the first time, so why not. I had fun with it, and am hoping the community will have fun with it, and I look forward to adding more small things like it in Purple Dream and other projects.
Really sorry for the delays, but I hope the additional content being added makes the wait have a positive tone to it!
I will be pausing billing this month, as I plan to take it easy. TFD and ZZZ are both coming out. Lots of gaming during this month.
Though regardless of the billing being paused, once the artwork is finished I will of course implement it then and there and hit the big red release button. I'm hoping to come around with a random post mid month announcing the release.

I'll be posting it either this weekend or the next one. Depends on if the sprites are finished during this week or next week. As for a random mini progress log, more ideas popped up and I decided to spice up and add more substance to the NPC event line that I mentioned in this progress log, of course in a way that uses existing assets. Currently redoing the level 5 event for it, and as of now, the narrative script for it is at 8 pages. 8 airtight pages completely full of text, and it is barely past the setup of the event. As to how this "small" rewrite has had me, speaking of memes... insert: -Homelander's mental breakdown.mp4-

That is a great argument. Just no knives please and thank you. Believe me, I'm also dying by not having this out yet... Almost there with the artwork... The event we had been stuck on is now done, which was the new event line at The Crater. That one got really messy really fast. It's a single event line, but it has 3 different CGs, which already puts it as arguably the most demanding event line when it comes to artwork, but on top of that, one of those CGs is functionally 3 CGs in one, making it basically 5 CGs for this single event line. This event is the first time I do something like this on the visual side of things, and it ended up taking longer than I thought it would. The good news is that it's done. Really only need the sprites for the new stuff being added to the memory system. Trying to get is done ASAP, but the availability of art guy has been a bit limited. Aside from the art stuff, I personally have been taking it easy this month. Though I have done some writing and small NPC additions on the side to the expansion. Thank you for the patience!

The 3 day thing, quite the opposite. Have 0 expectations for it. It absolutely is not what you may think it is. It's a tiny little trinket to have a bit of non-lewd fun with. Though there are still absolutely a bunch of new features and mechanics in the expansion!

Nice to hear youβre still adding content. Iβm excited to see it all. The feature that took you 3 days sounds interesting, not sure if Iβm getting my hopes too high, but Iβm really excited to see whatever it is. New mechanic? I hope thereβs some great new lewd stuff added. Thanks for your work!
