Big Changes

Some of you may have noticed that for the first time ever, I missed a weekly update last week. There's no easy way to say this but... I've decided to remove the paid tier from this Patreon, development updates will now be free to everyone. This has been a difficult decision made for a number of reasons.
1. Daz studio. Around 2 weeks ago I was forced into updating Daz. This has broken it rather spectacularly, making it far harder for me to render. I am in contact with customer support but we don't seem to be any closer to fixing my issue.
2. Family and life issues. A member of my very close family has been in hospital for nearly four weeks now, I've been told today that he won't recover. Frequent hospital visits alongside a recent promotion in my full time job have reduced the amount of hours I have free to spend on development.
The sum of that is there is no way I'll be able to meet my Christmas deadline for delivering the final update to the novel. So as I expect to overrun by a few months, I don't think it's fair that anyone should be paying for that extra time. This is why I have decided to remove the paid subscription.
I remain committed to finishing the game, and making updates free is the best way to remove the pressure of having to finish it in the face of the issues mentioned above.
So on Thursday (28th), at a similar time to this post I will be removing the paid tier. Please if you haven't already download the latest version of the game. My plan is to remove access to the game until the final update, and then release it for free to everyone. Photo updates may be less regular than before but will still be here on Patreon and they'll be free to view.
Hopefully you all understand my reasons for doing this, I think this is best for me and for everyone who's supported this project. To you kind supporters I would like to give my heartfelt thanks, this project would never have been possible without the great people on here.
If anyone has any questions or thoughts I'll answer them in the comments below.

Sorry to hear about your family member, I've had some members of mine who have gone through a rough patch this year so I know where you are coming from. I hope it works out for them and for you. The game can wait, take care of what is important in your life first.

I'm sorry that about your family member. Don't worry about us waiting. I know that I'm new in this patreon but I think the fans will understand that this things happens. Be with your family and don't worry about the game. The best thing you need to do is to take care yourself and your love ones. So take the time you need and when you're ready, you can come back later and then continue your work. I would prefer that you take your time and do this with passion than rush it and then regret it. Your work is really one of the best that I played and I would happily join the payment again when you decide to do it.

Wauw.. starting a post with a apology while family is in the hospital. Giving your talented work away for free. Hoping people from a "hobby/fab" project will still support your decision while you promote a your fulltime job. Still dedicated to finish the project. (With quality and not rushed) Ohh shit I think something is wrong with this one...π Don't get me wrong I'm not paying for a game with some nice content... where paying for a someone who deserves to get paid for what they make. We will still support you! No matter if it's paid or free or takes a bit longer. I do appreciate your take on this. But next time... don't you dare to apologize! π

So... since this last chapter is such a big chapter, have you considered to split it up into 2 parts? Final chapter part 1 and Final chapter part 2? That might lessen the feeling of pressure. I don't mind the wait. It's a good game in my opinion and worth the wait.

Very sorry to hear about your family member. That's a lot of pressure to deal with in between work and family and stuff not working properly, so it's perfectly understandable to use your time elsewhere. I hope you're holding up okay and taking care of yourself through these tough times.
