If you mean kneading aka "making biscuits" that usually doesn't involve much claw - after all, it comes from kneading momma's teats to get milk; too much claw would get momma into a hissy-fit. If you mean the claws-out streeeeeetch cats do, that can involve a bit of catu-puncture that might be a problem.
