Could have been worse - they could have been turned into humans. Or true feral forms of their species (e.g. Night into a feral jackal). Or "ST:TOS Enemy Within" - split into BOTH feral and human. Which leads to an interesting thought: Imagine a "ST:TOS Mirror, Mirror" version of the various characters (Would that make Night be subby and nice?)
