Weekly Progress Update [7/JAN]

Oh I just want to say the tiny demo is for Tier 4 only 😭 but I'm hoping to get it out for Tier 3 late january-ish 🙇‍♀️ I can't comment on the theory but I can say that there is more information about who was on MC's side and who wasn't! 🤭

So very excited to finally read Chapter 3, and officially meet Soarine! Gonna be really interesting to finally get some true dialog with her after all this time being a RO we know the least about. However I noticed something I need to get off my chest, and if any of you read my previous comment you know I tend to ramble and obsess over things! So this is your preliminary warning to skip if you are not interested, or if you are interested in my previous tirade you can find it under the December 10th Weekly Progress Update. So this is simply going to be theory crafting and speculation on my part but I am genuinely curious if anyone else picked this up while reading Chapter 1! So we gather from context that the war between Vesphire and Rosea lasted around 4 years. During this war Soarine's Family and Kingdom of Norazaan were your allies for the wars duration. You get this information by going to the Library in Chapter 1 and reading up on King Luceris. So we can surmise that Helios was around 4 years old when his mother died and Luceris declared war. Poor kid barely has any memories of his mother; however, in Chapter 1 when you meet him in the library he let's slip this piece of information: "Aren't you just visiting? I thought you were visiting like Soarine does sometimes." Why would Soarine be visiting Rosea when here Kingdom and Family were supposedly at war with them during that time. The only other time they could have met is when Helios was very young, but in this comment it sounds like it is a recent and regular occurrence. My theory is that at some point during the war Soarine's father, King Faang, realized that they were not going to win the war and approached Luceris to discuss terms to secure his Kingdoms welfare from his rampage. Remember, again, that when your Father sent your 2 eldest brothers to try and negotiate a peace treaty King Luceris has them killed and dismembered, so he could send them back as a message to your family. King Faang has seen/heard how low Luceris is willing to stoop to achieve victory and crown himself Emperor. Even going to far as to kill Royal Dignitaries that approach him under parley, a MASSIVE Faux Pas. Which leads us to the night of your families death. Overall your family was worried and strained, it showed during the Council Meeting and throughout the rest of the day. But they gave no inclination about being worried of a potential attack. We are not given a description of the Palace/Manor you are staying in but they are notoriously well defended. How did Luceris, Lancelot, and their Knights even reach your Home without raising alarms? Let alone getting INSIDE the castle without a lengthy siege? My theory is that in order to secure Norazaan from Luceris' Wrath, King Faang offered to lead Luceris and Lancelot through the Vesphirian(?) lines and into the castle, allowing them to butcher your family while they had the guard down and unarmed. Bringing an early end to the war, and independence for Norazaan. Luceris gets to crown himself Emperor and Faang gets to keep his crown. In short our poor MCs cannot catch a break, surrounded by enemies on all sides. So I am interested to see if my speculations are even remotely close to the truth, and if they are if we are going to have the option to have our MCs in game put these pieces together. Though Soarine would have had no input or say in these actions, being only 10 years old herself, I am curious how this will effect our relationship. Or her reaction if we have the opportunity to level these accusations against her. Anyway again Thank You for Your Time!
