Try with my suggestions for HGIG first. If you find it too often too dim, switch to my suggestions fot DTM. Dynamic Tone Mapping (or "Active HDR") was created in 2017 by LG mainly for improving HDR rendition in Movies (it's still enabled by default in both HDR Cinema and HDR Filmmaker presets) and most movies are mastered with a 4.000 nits reference Peak HDR Brightness, so if you're able to also set games like that it will work best, otherwise it would still try to adapt any other Peak HDR Luminance you throw at it for the actual 800 nits of the panel (e.g. Destiny 2 can only go up to 2.000 nits, so it is advisable to stick with that when using DTM if 4.000 nits aren't available).

Do you recommend DTM or HGIG for this? & why do we have to set the peak brightness all the way to 2000 for DTM?

Hi! Thanks for the feedback, you're right, it was a typo on my side. I just fixed the Peak Brightness suggestion for DC/DTM as it actually max out at 2.000 nits. Thanks!

I'm a little confused. For LG TV's using DTM, you say to set the peak brightness to 4.000 nits. The bar in game ranges from 500 to 2000. Where does 4.000 nits correspond to on that bar?
