The game DOES USE/APPLY Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.
The game has a good HDR implementation and it is one of the few games actually leveraging system-wide HDR settings.
It also provides a regular "Brightness Adjustment" control
which you can leave at "50%" as it already corresponds to a balanced/correct exposure and gamma.

Most probably because you're creating a black level mismatch with crushed blacks while doing so. Even if this will artificially make contrast jump higher and look "better" for contents with problematic/raised black levels, it's just a plain wrong signal which will ruin anything else.

why if I set ps5 on full rgb interval and black level on lg c1 on low it looks great and with much more contrast? Thx a lot

When using 25/25/0 you should also activate DTM on HDR Game mode. Other than that, you can't do much with the game as it will just apply the system settings and the "Brightness Adjustment" slider to default 50% is already balanced, so what you see is what the game is meant to be shown.

I have a lg c1. In returnal I find the colors washed out in the bright areas. I set hdr ps5 25/25/0 click. I also tried 14/14/0 with higig.
