Augustus You Jerk #3 is finally here
SCD
David: Hey, this character sounds like me! Mike, James & Augustus: O_O
Valiant_bird
Auggie learned from the best (worst) how to twist the knife.
Rocky Wolfknight
Is it weird that I hope David comes in for the save and maybe mention something about August shady past just to throw it back in his face?

The black and white thinking thing is definitely something a lot of characters suffer from Heaven knows i'm guilty of it too
Kiall Vun Myeret
Did the woman also beat the husband up on a regular basis? If she didn't you aren't really making a fair comparison here Auggy

It's maybe referencing Lucy's suicide attempt? I hope so. Don't spiral, Mike. We don't need more of that .. you needy needy bitch

I love dramatically antagonistic Augustus. He's so cunning, and it feels like a great reward for his heel face turn (using his dark side for good now lol). Now, Mike doesn't necessarily deserve this treatment, and we readers have the privilege of knowing that Mike's in a bad place himself. But I still love to see Augustus standing up for Lucy and what he thinks is right (friendship, character development!). And anyways, I think that kind of black-and-white thinking (seeing Mike as the antagonist, not knowing or considering what Mike's state of mind might be) is very realistic, especially for teenagers. And not to victim blame, but I'm a bit bothered that Mike said he was going to do one thing and then doubled down on doing the exact opposite, after being told it was directly hurtful thing to do... especially after the kiss arc and burning Lucy again. We know Mike is in a bad place too, but from an outside/Augustus's perspective, it does look mean. (Sorry for the wall of text, I really love and appreciate how Taeshi builds up these complex character interactions. <3)

Augustus is a menace. Fight back FFS Michael!
Skid
Oh geez. This does have some similarities to the infamous "you're a parasite" page doesn't it? Just hitting a homerun on the insecurity and doubling down on it.
Fiver
I'm impressed by his level of petty but still, shut up my guy this isn't helping anyone
CauliFlower
This is foreshadowing isn’t it…
Elisa
AUGUSTUSSSSSSS OMG 😭😭😭😭 the pettiness and loyalty
Indigo
Gosh imagine pushing and pushing someone until they snap. Good thing Final Fantasy Cat would never do that.
Airy Frith
augustus oh my god sksksksk
Antares
lmao augustus that's diabolical of you
Ashura Atsu
Especially if James sympathizes with that character instead, throwing Augustus for a loop and encouraging Mike to open up.
SomeColourMage
damn dude, you really should have been in the drama club
Snowstar837
Damn, this is a pretty good way to indirectly call Mike out like this. Especially if James shares HIS opinion on "the character who pushed someone to the brink", right when Mike is so eager for his attention/regard...
Raine Bell
Augustus please chill I am begging
HallybooBlues
Please let Mike be something other than a punching bag, just for a page. Seriously, let this kid express himself.
fee
interesting!!! i wonder if mike will have a similar break and this encounter will come back to haunt augustus for the same reasons
