Dolphins, and I’m pretty sure house sparrows, slow-wave unihemespheric sleep. Meaning one half their brain sleeps in REM, then switches. It’s pretty cool!

I don't write in response to comments. I write whatever pops into my head as I'm writing.

Aeonstorm

I must admit her trait is extremely useful given that she no longer needs to eat or drink due to it, if she gets another trait which lets her sleep/rest similar to an orca or whatever the abyssal orca/kraken can do. Normal orcas basically can let portions of their brains sleep while the rest stays awake, not sure exactly what it’s called or how it works off the top of my head.

How much of that first page was quickly written in response to the comments on the last chapter? If it _was_ written in advance, you know your audience quite well.

Any amount of sustain regen is a bonus. Everyone keeps complaining in comments about how little that is at high levels, but if Aqua is fighting someone with just as much mana as she has, Aqua would win. Why? Because that little bit of extra mana generated might let her use her healing spell, or attack one more time. Maybe not for topping up between fights, but for long drawn out, 18 hour long brawl fights, that little bit will matter a ton!

Yeah that's a scary thought although it probably only works on monsters.

Aeonstorm

The quirk about her poison from her ink or claws creating “living” abyssal servants is interesting as I imagine that there are some monsters that have useful skills for Aqua to exploit especially if she can turn people into abyssal servants as she could drag them into the water and use her ink to paralyse them while she makes them into abyssal servants. I imagine the other bloodliner families would be horrified if she could do it to them as well!

Thanks for writing!
