1st 2023 Los Injurus update!
🕑 Added 2023-02-14 04:43:52 +0000 UTC1st update using the new MAP SLIMMER tool! Thanks for that AlexKidd71 via BeamNG forums. Comes in super handy and only involved a little over an hour of work.
First things first, this should fix any and all texture bugs. It might even run with less VRAM (it's possible) than the old one. Keep me posted on this is you choose to use high detail as to how much VRAM is used.
Miles upon miles of new roads, and four new spawns in this area in addition to the 11-foot-8 spawn that was added last time around. So if you're not sure where the new stuff is, head out to one of the new spawns. You can even get up to the one building up above the tunnels on the mountain that you could not drive to before. There's too many changes to mention, but you'll figure it out as you drive about. Lots of QoL features but just have a look around and you'll see the new stuff.
The minimap does not work, but the interactive zoom-out world map works just fine for the trouble. I just noticed the minimap on the HUD doesn't work, derp. Will have to work on that at a later date.
Bridges have been restored north-west of the city where they had disappeared two or three years ago with one of the game updates. Keep in mind that the old highways with the black tarmac haven't even been touched, so the AI will be wonky out there yet until I get them redone.
Not much in the way of new buildings. Decided to wait on those as I'd have to do a whole round of testing on them not to mention tie up loose ends from them. One of the previous buildings added in the last update last-minute had a few texture bugs that kept re-appearing due to duplicate or missing entries for textures, this has been remedied (hopefully).
AI should work almost flawlessly on the new roads, and if it does not, you know who to talk to about it.
Speaking of AI, sections where the roads go from two to four lanes divided and back, will now work a whole lot better (if they even worked at all before).
Link via MEGA 3.26gb should be included. It is under 5gb obviously so you should not have to wait like last time.
Errata? Minimap doesn't work, but it likely hasn't worked for a while, and the 'this road to be under construction in 2021~2022' orange sign doesn't work, but I think I got rid of most of those anyways, for obvious reasons.
Let me know if there's any issue here.

Please use the new updated version that's been posted yesterday, there was an issue with the compression format I had used mistakenly thinking it was now supported. I used Deflate this time, in-stead of Deflate64 in the last one (the 64-version wasn't supported, I had mis-read that it was in some update notes).

Go to steam and verify the integrity of your game file(though if you did everything you should have already done this) and then if it passes the test, you definitely did not do everything, if it doesn't pass, then you may have found your problem.

commenting again, because my last 1 seems to have disappeared. The map worked, i was just saying that instead of dropping it into the mods folder, i had to extract it into the levels folder for it to work. when in the mods folder it shows up in game without a thumbnail, and when loading, it never makes progress.

drop the map file into The most current levels folder, then extract. Once you've extracted it? remove the zip file and leave the rest. That's what i did when i had the same issue. Worked like a charm.

Thank you for responding so quick! I’ll take a look and see what i can do, maybe it’s because i have too many mods or something else like that. I love this map and I’m glad to see that you’ve put so much effort into it even with your health problems. You are a trooper my guy keep it up! 👍👍👍

Again if anyone has any issues, let me know, and we'll get it sorted hopefully sooner than later. Check my response a few lines up for some quick-tips if you have issues. *PC Master race* they said... Well it's not all fun chicanes all the time, sometimes you have to tell the computer how to computer properly.

I don't know why it wouldn't show up, it has what it needs in the map. If anyone else has any issues, let me know. Early access game engine + early access map = "surprise" problems... Well, I guess no one should be surprised, it's inevitable no matter how long you map that problems come up. Keep me posted on this stuff, if it's a bad download or if it's just ending up in the wrong spot. You may need to ENABLE it manually under your mods/options or whatever (I don't get into the mods much except my own to be frank). I had my map extracted into the user folder under "C:\Users\WINDOWS_LOGIN_NAME\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.27\levels\LosInjurus". Windows Login Name is the folder for your username you use to login to Windows itself (usually the exact same as your login name). You can look for it on your drive, but keep in mind you may have to type in the appdata folder part manually in the address bar or reveal hidden folders in the folder options, as appdata is often hidden. BeamNG Drive no longer uses folder in mydocuments folder unless you try to force it to (and it doesn't like you changing that! TRUST ME, just use the folder it wants you to use), as-of a year or 18 months ago or something like that. Let me know if you otherwise still can't get this to run even if you re-download it, buddy. We want happy supporters, not folks who feel ripped-off.
