The place where he inserted the blade is so damn good, that 3rd to last “good morning” hits so hard

I’ve been told I have “depressing taste in music” and I’d say yea, kinda. There’s a YouTuber ImCyborgButThatsOk; she post quite a bit of indie pop to soft rock, and honestly I love it. A lot of that music is what I listen to when I’m feeling depressed n stuff. Kinda makes me even more depressed, but it makes me feel like I’m not alone.

L'il Louis

the ukulele is fun i'm learning that right now, really first time learning any musical instrument seriously.

I would recommend the album "Painted From Memory" (Elvis Costello + Burt Bacharach) for ya, for sad/meloncholy types of songs. I was in a fairly sad/depressed place when it came out and so I listened to it a lot. It's an amazing album. For something more upbeat, recently I can't stop listening to "Lola" by the Kinks or "Car Trouble" by Adam and the Ants. Hope you like my recommendations! Cheers!

Music is.. basically magic isn't it <3

I Know, You Know- new favorite. She, along with your entire friend group, are very talented. Thanks for sharing.

Michael Gee

Music is one of the only things I use to change my mood. I cant live without it.

Emily Moran

thanks for this playlist, it made for a lovely chill morning of music <3 <3 <3 i’ve always appreciated the songs you include in your videos. kevin’s music is an especially excellent vibe. i too gravitate to emotionally driven/ “”sad”” music so i appreciate your taste. maybe i can share some music in return? wondering if you might like laura marling … try “walk alone” or “goodbye england” though everything she’s done is beautiful. i’ve also been listening to mitski’s new songs a lot, “bug like an angel” especially. happy trails on your european adventure!

That is Trent’s banjo! I haven’t tried playing, string instruments don’t call to me as much as piano right now. Trent plays some ukulele!

Max DuBois

Thanks for the bonus post Joel! I'm surprised you know Field Medic, that's really cool. I play the banjo, and remember feeling excited when I saw it in the background of one of your videos - I think a video with Trent, but I can't remember which one. Have you tried playing the banjo at all? It's the first string instrument I've learned and I really enjoy it. Thanks again!

Love that album cover for I Know, You Know. Also a very funny and touching song!
