As much as I enjoy you acting in your films the idea of a fully behind-the-camera film from you really excites me in terms of what you could achieve. It'll be hard balancing this mammoth project you've got ahead of you but at least the Oscars film will give you a little bit of a break which is weird to say considering the chaos of participating in those haha. Honestly, as hard a challenge as this will be and as much as you may worry about the financial hit you may take from this, it will all be worth it once you get to the top of the mountain and look at the view. In ten years you'll look back on this as something you are really proud of and people will realize how insane it was that someone with millions of subs who could quite comfortably phone it in for the rest of his time on the platform and make great money actually stood for his own artistic integrity and did what he was passionate about. Major kudos to you Joel and I can't wait for next year!

Is the thought of doing it the Dan style where you only have to shoot 12 features something that you've considered? Then you wouldn't have to kill yourself over editing and shooting multiple projects at once. Just curious how you feel about that route
