Join Our Big Community Meetup In Asheville, North Carolina On October 5th

It's been a fun process with you all pitching your hometown and then the big vote here on Patreon, but we're happy to declare Asheville, North Carolina the winner and location of MinnMax's big community meetup! We're getting together on Saturday, October 5th at 7pm (Eastern) at an outdoor brewery called Zillicoah Beer Company. We'd love to have you there so we can thank you in person for supporting MinnMax. We've previously said the big community meetup is happening in September, but our ideal dates shifted a bit so please don't be confused. This October 5th meetup is the big one we've been referring to. Obviously only attend the meetup if you're eager to explore Asheville and it's not a financial hardship to travel, zero pressure. We'd love to get a rough idea of how many folks are attending, so please vote in this poll to let us know where you're at. You don't need to be a Patreon supporter to attend, so you're welcome to bring friends and loved ones. We just want to convey a rough headcount to the large, outdoor brewery so they know whether to staff up.
We're traveling out to beautiful Asheville and creating a travelogue showing off the entire experience. It'll be Ben Hanson, Janet Garcia, Leo Vader, Sarah Podzorski, Jacob Geller, Kelsey Lewin, and Haley MacLean at the meetup. We want to stress that this won't be a full MinnMax weekend with us or anything like that, we'll be delighted to talk to you at the community meetup at 7pm on October 5th but don't expect scheduled events on our end beyond that. If you're traveling or meeting up with other community members, obviously please be on your best behavior and help take care of each other. We also have a meetup-specific Discord channel open now (#asheville-meetup) if you're looking to talk to other folks about Asheville and plan any additional activities. Feel free to leave a comment below with any recommended Asheville activities or tips.

Heads up! If you're in the Chicago or Portland area, there's a very good chance (Chicago is 95% and Portland is 65% chance) we'll have a smaller meetup for you coming up soon. So stay tuned!

Hi! I’ve been meaning to sign up for the Patreon for ages, and news of the Oct meet up finally got me over the finish line lol! Ironically I’ll be away for the actual event probably, but Asheville is where I grew up! It’s a fantastic town! I love that you guys are going to experience it! I highly recommend Malaprops (my favorite Indy bookstore in the world)! There is a bunch of beautiful hiking in the area (bridal falls is awesome), the botanical gardens, the folk art center, the Biltmore House (if you don’t mind spending some money). Oh man. I’m just so pumped you’re all going to get to experience my beloved little mountain town!! I hope you have the BEST time!

Good choice. Was there last year for the first time. A good place for people to check out in their spare time is Highland Brewing (East Asheville, not the downtown location). Big area with volleyball, disc golf, and a hiking trail. Was definitely my favorite of the breweries.
