It is unfathomable to me that Playstation is releasing Concord to it's graveyard resting place already by including a price tag. This whole push for games as a service by them and yet they hope Concord can pull in people with $. If Overwatch, Valorant, Fortnite etc can't charge an upfront price tag - how does playstation think it can get away it? Especially with a new IP?

Hey everyone, I've been playing through the Yakuza games recently (currently on Kiwami 2) and I'm stumped at how I've never heard anybody mention how tone-deaf some parts of these games are. This is most prominent in Yakuza 0 with its extremely traditional outlook on society that I think sometimes borders on harmful. These delusional takes can range from "men are supposed to be masculine and feminine men should change their sex" to "money gives you a healthy boost of confidence and therefore poor people can't be attractive." Not even mentioning how passive female characters are often portrayed to be. Am I blowing this out of proportion or can any of you guys relate to my issue?

To my surprise I saw he was uncredited as sound designer for the original Super Smash Bros. Upon digging a bit more, turns out the whole sound design is comprised of absolute big shots from Skywalker Sound. How isn't it common knowledge that the sound designer for Jurassic Park led the team for sound designing SuperSmashBros ?! For me, that happened with Tim Rogers' review of Dragon Quest 11 for Kotaku. I had never played a Dragon Quest game before, and randomly stumbled upon his review on Youtube. Heya! Here's da question: What's the shortest but most in depth trip or vacation you've ever done? For an example from my own life, a few years ago, my friends and I drove from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for a Silk Sonic concert when they had a residency up there. To make it more of a trip, we got up early and left before the sun rose, and then spent the day before the concert going to various spots all of which were from Fallout New Vegas like driving through prim (that small town with the big roller coaster), hitting up the Hoover dam and going through a few of the stores on the strip. And then after the concert we went to the real life good springs saloon which has a whole set up with props and stuff from the game. And by the time I woke back up the next morning, I was back in my bed.

I played the Demo of Path of the Goddess and was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. Between the mix of hack and slash action and tower defense, all of the mechanics brought together it was a breath of fresh air. But more then anything I really enjoyed the Monster Designs and while I wouldn't say it was my number 1. It did get me thinking, what game has the Number 1 Monster Design?

Hey MinnMax! This came up a bit on last week’s podcast, but what are some of your favorite games you didn’t play but experienced with someone else? Or do you have any special memories of not playing a game but experiencing it with a close friend/family member? When my older brother went off to college, he would visit in the summer and every other week we would rent whatever survival horror game looked interesting from our local video store. He would play it and I would have a guide printed out ready to help give instructions. I thought it was one of the best JRPG’s I’ve ever played but what really got me was the ending. I’m glad I never had it spoiled as it took me by surprise for how sad, sweet, and comforting it was all at once. Is there a game that you love the ending of that you don’t hear a lot of people talk about?

This past week I finally beat Ff7 rebirth after over 100 hours and it was a tremendous experience However, during the final boss that I’m sure Ben can attest is a very long. During the final battle and getting to literally the final phase my neighborhood had a split second power outage which turned off my ps5 and stopped me from beating the game. It was so frustrating and it’s probably the most recent “heartbreaking” moment in games in awhile for me Does the crew have any similar experiences of a sudden end to a game that you still think about?
