The Canipa Effect
One of my favourite Ace Attorney facts is that during the development of the first game, writer Shu Takumi visited a real court to do research. In the end, he decided not to use anything he learned because he found it wasn't dramatic enough for his tastes. He kept waiting for people to shout "Objection" but nobody ever did it with gusto.
