When talking about the upcoming "Winter Burrow" on a recent Bonus Pod, Janet made a comment on how the combination of survival and "cozy" isn't done much given the stress of a survival game vs. the low-stakes of a cozy game. Then I thought about how SO many people I know find the "relaxing" things you do in many cozy games (farming, crafting, building up a home, etc.) to be really stressful! Hey Crew, What game makes the best cosmetics/skins in your opinion? Paid or otherwise. Everytime I boot up The Finals I'm blown away by the creativity in their weapons and outfits. Often times they have custom animations like a revolver made to look like a big stick that you whittle away at or a flamethrower made to look like a super soaker. I find myself itching for my wallet in this game more than any other and I'm generally adverse to micro transactions. On the free end, I really got into collecting the apparel in The Division back when that came out. I frequently found myself audibly excited to pick up a new beanie or jacket and inversely feeling nothing when getting a new weapon or really any item with stats associated with it. Maybe I just like playing dress up in a game where that isn't the main focus.

Hi, Bought Prince of Persia's The Lost Crown DLC last week and was really annoyed that it resets you back to square one. Just like Elden Ring, the DLC takes place in a shadow world but all those upgrades and power-ups you got in the base game are no longer available. Has a game review ever had a profound effect on you? I will never forget the Second Opinion review from "Ben" (I'm guessing Reeves?) on the original Mass Effect. He wrote: "Mass Effect stopped me dead in my tracks. I'd just chastised one of my companions for doing something stupid, then she looked back up at me with big round eyes full of shame, and I felt an emotion that a game's never drawn out of me before: guilt." With the PS5 Pro reveal and the Switch 2 on the horizon, I've been thinking a lot about how Nintendo is going to talk about their new console. We're at a point with consoles where granular hardware details are inherent talking points, but Nintendo has historically never really used that sort of language. I just can't see a presentation where they talk explicitly about GPUs and frame rates, but assuming the Switch 2 really is just a straight upgrade with no new gimmicks, I don't see what else the marketing could really be. How do you think they'll approach the language around the Switch 2? Can you see Nintendo giving a straight up specs overview or graphics side-by-sides? Also unrelated question, why isn't anyone talking about Crypt Custodian?!
