I see no reason why not. The flyaway might be larger if the torchship uses a fusion engine with a large capacitor bank

Could the fly away engine work with torchships? I didn't see those types mentioned so wondering if it would be feasible.

The Agricultural Station quote about bamboo kind of shows that the author didn't do their homework. Found a page that states that the preferred variety of bamboo is Moso Bamboo, also known as Chinese Bamboo. It takes about 4-5 years to properly mature before you can process it into manufactured lumber. The canes are about 20 meters long and 10 cm in diameter.
