GREAT list. I especially second Ned Devine, Hook, the Birdcage, and the King's Speech. Batman and Gargoyles are amazing too- and especially since they are watching Star Trek TNG and nearly every TNG cast member did at least a voice cameo and several are main characters

26:22 This is a spoof of Noel Coward. Inspired by the Zulu War scene, here is Noel Coward in a cabaret-style performance of his classic patter song Mad Dogs and Englishmen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkEd3WgR8qw [For the irony-impaired: the song is ironic.]

PLEASE PLEASE close out your Monty Python journey by watching their very first movie! "And Now For Something Completely Different". You'll get to check out most of the TV show's best sketches but re-filmed with a big budget and movie quality cinematography.

Hoping that Time Bandits pops up on a poll soon!

Happy Hanukkah

Imagine watching this with the wrong kind of chemical enhancers... :-)

James Lawson

Big + for this, considering they did Fish called Wanda this would really be a natural one! + Jamie Lee Curtis

Liz Matter

If you like John Cleese you should watch Fierce Creatures.

William Pryor

The one other Monty Python (official) movie was their first, ....And Now For Something Completely Different". It is a reproduction of their classic skits from their TV show, all strung together. A bit like the format for Meaning of Life. This first movie is a great way to better understand the origins of their style of humor. Many classic skits and cultural iconic memes contained within. Absolutely hilarious. Perhaps you can watch this one? You will not regret it.

Matthew Ford

The third best Python film is still funnier than 99.9% of all other movies.

16:41-16:50 Undoubtedly a satirical reference to "The Battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton." 19:34 "They're so chill!" Or in oldspeak: "stiff upper lip." 33:11 A salmon mousse once killed my entire dinner party. NΓΈ, realli! I certainly have no objection to a reaction to the classic sketch show Monty Python's Flying Circus (though it can be hit and miss), but I'd much prefer John Cleese's classic sitcom Fawlty Towers (a mere 12 episodes).

When I'm dead, just throw me in the trash.

Simone's reaction to the execution method might be my favorite reaction ever.

Herby Ragan

Highly recommend you watch the TV Series "Monty Python's Flying Circus" IMO the funniest sketch comedy show ever produced.

REDR58

Also features early appearances from Sarah Polley and Uma Thurman.

Namaste Life Coaching

This was a really fun reaction, although it looked like "find the fishy" almost broke Simone and George.

Cory Garron

I'm beng cremated, no funeral. My stepfather is donated his body to a university in Halifax.

Jonathan Eaton

Zulu (1964) starring Michael Caine

Jonathan Eaton

I counted 64 kids coming out of the house.

Da Big Appa

A good movie to add that is not directly apart of Monty Python but has some of the crew involved including the director is 1988 movie The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. I hope that makes it on the list at some point.

Lionbarber

I echo the other comments that you should absolutely watch Flying Circus, the Monty Python sketch comedy show that predates all the films and made the troop famous. Or at least watch And Now For Something Completely Different, which is a film composed of sketches without even this vague attempt at a united theme.

Lionbarber

I also love that Chapman, the openly gay Python, is elected to play the guy chased off a cliff by topless young women.

Ben H

"And now for something completely different" is really good too, some say better than Meaning of Life - great skits from the first too seasons of the show!

Lionbarber

As someone who grew up in a fiercely religious family, I feel the "O Lord, Oooh you are so big" bit is one of the most underrated Python bits ever.

If you are opening the video (not the cinebingers) right click and copy URL. Cinebingers if the above link isn't working or opening you should be able to navigate to cinebingers.ca and search for what you want there. Sorry if you tried all this, hope it helps!

Whenever I see this I immedietly want to watch The Crimson Pirate, a movie I definitely think you should watch.

Hansy

Man this is annoying. I cant seem to get the link / open it in a new window.

Kelly Moneymaker

Needed a laugh this week. Thanks so much!

Jobbe Smit

I get the criticism of the movie, it's really just their regular sketches with a bigger budget but those are so much fun I can't echo the complaints myself.

JBK405

I'd heard the song "Every Sperm is Sacred" before I saw the rest of the film (Or even knew that there was a film) so for a long time that was the only thing running through my head. So many great musical numbers.

REDR58

You guys need to watch some of the actual Monty Python series!

TheNeonRabbit

It's only wafer-thin

ChristianK

Well seems like George is getting one of those godly lights shined above him he’s the chosen oneπŸ˜…

Andi Herr

Also, your faces during the middle of the film were the best!

Andi Herr

I think the reason why this is considered to be a step down in quality is that they went back to the sketch format (similar to their TV show Monty Python's Flying Circus) after writing a proper feature film with Life Of Brian. But I still think this movie has some of the best and most iconic Python material in it.

Robert Smith

And now for something completely different

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

OMG what a treat this morning!

Mike FromOz

Oh, this is awesome πŸ˜‚ 10/10 😁
