That cauldron was the biggest tree spade I've ever seen. https://youtu.be/lW2woreRL1g?t=39

I just exhibited a bit of my own magic. Master Wuliang said "If you allow me to put a curse on you, he'll lead a very comfortable life at the palace," and then my browser locked up. Restarting and playing, it started back somewhere in the middle of the film, so I clicked near the end of the film, and Master Wuliang said "If you allow me to put a curse on you, he'll lead a very comfortable life at the palace." F'in' nailed it.

So I thought the final end credits scene in the first movie was meant to tease a new character that would appear in the 2nd movie. I didn't realize Jiang Ziya is an entire movie set before Ne Zha and it's part of a shared universe they plan on building. Hope you guys do a reaction for that movie soon.

What a gut puncher, and heaven puncher, damn good spectacle. I wonder what the cultural significance is, of introducing Wuliang (or Old Man of the South Pole?), to this story. He makes a good villain, but is there some criticism of strict Taoist philosophy in there? I wouldn't want to be a judge of that, just seeing the movie picked a role for him here. The setup for a war of immortals and Demons/Dragons all proving their worth, great stuff. Impressive visuals, big renders and beautiful frames, I see why this made all the money. I believe I heard some stock or game explosion sounds though, certainly some nods to fighting games in it.
