Also, there are people out there making money with AI-generated illustrations, but naturally, the ones paying them are those who can’t generate such images themselves. I’ve set up Stable Diffusion in a local environment before (using Automatic1111), and honestly, it was easier than installing most game mods. Generating images is even easier—you just need to be able to type. Most of the people paying you could probably generate AI illustrations themselves, if they really wanted to. Even if they don’t mind receiving AI art for free, I doubt many of them would actually want to pay for AI-generated illustrations. That’s why I believe it might diminish the value of your membership. I’m sorry if this comes off as offensive—that’s not my intention at all. I just hope you’ll understand that I’m not trying to deny the value of your creative work.

I don’t have any hatred toward AI-generated illustrations themselves. However, I’m genuinely concerned that by using them, you might become a target of public criticism or lose your motivation. As far as I know, all models capable of generating illustrations that are visually satisfying involve copyright (or, even if not illegal, ethical) issues. Many creators despise those who use models trained on their work without permission to make money or to satisfy their own egos. I consider mod creators to be artists as well. And if that’s the case, I hope you won’t forget to show consideration toward other creators. As of 2025, I believe AI-generated illustrations are best enjoyed privately. Using them for public presentation or profit is, in my opinion, too risky. I truly respect your work. Please don’t stray from the right path. This message was translated by ChatGPT. I am not opposed to all generative AI.

If you want to experiment and play around with generative AI, I would recommend a local installation instead of using a website. Look up A1111. It's very easy to set up, and you don't even need that good of a pc (I'm running a 3080 and I get 1280*1280 images with 30+ steps in seconds). You can get models from Civitai or HuggingFace. When running in local, the enormous advantage you get how personalizable the model is: you can get a model specialized in what you need, and run LoRA (like submodels, they can do stuff like bringing in a specific character, narrowing down a style, or give you more control over features) on top of it to get exactly what you want.

I don't understand, can you explain your point of view to me a little more?

Krustation

Please don't. This is the kind of thing that will make me stop subscribing.
