Fallout 2 - Remake

First of all, I did not forget about Fallout 1, it is still coming, I've just been very tied up with work in the last month (duh, what's new?). But here's some interesting news!
I've heard of this before, but I've never seen a video or a trailer showcasing what's been done already, so this is exciting! I think, when I get to it, I'll still want to play the original version, but this can be something for people who are already familiar and are looking to revisit if/when it comes out :)

These might be interesting, as you can play F4 only so many times.. And Fallout2 was my introduction to the series years ago.

Many years ago when physical copies of games were always going on sale at GameStop and similar stores, I purchased a dual disc set of Fallout 1 and 2. I never could get 1 to run on my PC properly so my intro to the series was Fallout 2. While the graphics were antiquated it was still a very fun game. It is witty, well thought out, and the combat was fun. I then went on to play Fallot 3 and Fallout New Vegas (which most people consider the best from the series I think). A fun aspect of 3 and New Vegas is all the great mods available, though for a first playthrough I always recommend minimal alterations. Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the remake.

I was not aware they were in the process to do that with Fallout 2, so thanks for the heads up, I know they already started to do that with Fallout 1 (possibly another mod team though). https://youtu.be/uuEKnGbUUGI?si=OplX5OX-FJuX25sZ Apparently both remakes are using the Fallout 4 engine, possibly in order to avoid copyrights issue with Bethesda. I think it may be nice for those who already played the games and know the lore involved but as a first time player I'd really stick to the classic versions of both games.
