Michael Yust

You now have an excuse for the guards around the council to hold their ground until the Samurai show up then step smartly aside and salute, before telling them to have a nice day. Meta is a perfectly valid excuse. Teddy does have a Medic Bear who hasn't had much screen time.

Shannon Livingston

It's true. They probably would have surrendered before that, but have to make it somewhat exciting. :P

Joshua Millins

From what I get of most PMC that cross Samurai up until somebody is knocking holes in hulls they are under the belief that like their commanders or corpo overlords the Samurai won't engage them directly but send a minion or 2 and handle them that way. I mean this is exactly what Teddy does but her minions are 2 tonne warmachines with a plushy camouflage exterior. Fairly certain most Vanguard are weaker than Bob or Heavy and the Moose. But yeah that feels like an authors oversight. It's almost impossible for crew served weapons to receive single surface penetration and not have major casualties. If the round went clean through put the other side it's possible that the bears A.I/Nyx knew the placement of the crew and fired accordingly.

Michael Yust

Shots that penetrate the armor ...are bad for the tank crew. Even if it doesn't explode it super-heats the metal as the kinetic energy is turned to heat energy, spraying molten metal all over everything/everyone. Anyone who was in the turret is badly burned or dead. The rest of the crew might be okay as long as the rounds don't cook off. Frankly, if I was a PMC and KNEW there was one pissed-off Samurai I would be invoking the suicidal orders clause in my contract and going on my break. The council has about 5 pissed-off Samurai coming for them. These are mercenaries, dead men don't get paid.

Joshua Millins

Nonsense plenty of non-lethal options. Like Bob. Bob would make an excellent projectile as proved when she acquired Blackdogs railgun.

Shannon Livingston

That railgun is overkill for everything but a siege. She's trying to prevent more damage, not cause it. It's also very slow to setup and shoot, making it one of the few things that'd be vulnerable to return fire. She may drag it out if things get serious, it is the equivalent of a Class III weapon, but we'll see how things go

Joshua Millins

I'm surprised she hasn't towed out Blackdogs Railgun with special rounds to keep from either over penetrating the armour columns or designed so they deal minimal damage to infrastructure. I know she has a catalog for that. Possibly some scary stuff from magpie.
