I agree, and when you think about, not addiction but magical addiction and mind control... and in close proximity to people you care about.. and the actual presence of dark gods... cleanse it with fire... create a spell to ease the affliction of those cursed with it,... was remove curse a spell that was discussed in an earlier chapter? But evil elves mind controlling those around them.. That is something a Paladin would remove from existence.
