It’s overdue. It’s probably buggy, but it’s here. Thank you so much for waiting. You can find the builds right here at the top.
So much went into this. In a month I rewrote a large portion of the code, remade half the character sprites in the game, added several cutscenes, rewrote all the dialog in the game (Turn is translatable now!), finished a boss, expanded on the levels slightly, and even had to cut some stuff that didn’t make it in time.
I know this has taken awhile, but today was my final cutoff day. There are a few things that didn’t make it:
- The main menu is gone. That’s okay. It’s about an hour long on the high end
- That also means saving is pointless right now
- The chest after the witch fight doesn’t work
- Collecting all Zane’s eggs no longer rewards you with an alternate path
- The custom death sequences per enemy indeed got axed
There will also undoubtedly be bugs. It’s my hope that if you’re not trying to find them a playthrough should go smoothly, but I’ll be keeping an eye on feedback.
Regrettably, This May Be Our Final Broadcast
This is likely the last Turn build (barring bug fixes). I’ve thought a lot about this. I started developing this game 2 years ago. In that time I’ve only been able to devote 3-4 months of actual work to it. I love Turn, but the way I’m going about making it isn’t jiving with my content creation process. It’s also unpredictable when it might take time away from comics.
I love making games. And years later, I’m good at it. The next time I attempt this and ask for your generous support it will:
- Involve a team and/or full time work so that there’s a lot more at the end of a half year than Turn is today
- Directly incorporate art and comics and will lose the low resolution limitations of Turn
- Involve a planning phase and gameplay prototypes to make sure there’s fun there
Turn is a wild collection of minigames. And that’s super cool. But it does lack a consistent and fun gameplay loop. It’s easy to dismiss that by saying it’s lewd, or it’s an RPG, but I want to do better next time.

Im glad that somehow the game progresses even when on pause. Otherwhise i would be stuck on the witch. Im not good at this type of game. ^^"

Aww, I'll be sad to see it go. I haven't played the new version yet, but I played one of the older ones and though both the art style and the gameplay were great. I was looking forward to the completed project.

Got stuck at the pollen witch again, I just can't get the rythym down for dodging the pink blasts if I manage to even get that far XP

The game is amazing, did not only had fun and was challenged by the first boss but also had my furry transformation experience. Getting such a cool furry transformation game is just like finding a diamond. Many thanks <3 It is sad that it will be put on hold for an uncertain time, while I am really looking forward for more. But yeah having a team and incorporating the comics would be a huge time saver and would make it even more awesome :D

Well I guess it would be interesting IF it would actually run. But my virus software is screaming threat detection and viruses found in the download package and when attempting to tun it. Nice try anyhow. But then I only came for the comics.

Im gonna miss turn, the original build was actually quite amazing, and it seemed to be shaping in to a really fun platformer bullet hell game (with puzzle elements)
