I agree that dating sites preclude interpersonal connection. it takes courage and a willingness to be vulnerable to meet, interact, and connect with another person especially if you find them attractive. The culture of not "allowing men to discuss or show their feelings in a respectful/transparent way" exasperates the difficulty to connect with women. The plausible deniability of using humor definitely reduces connection... dating is hard enough as it is
