Jenny's existence on the show cracks me up. I realized this was about a year before Columbine. I wonder if the writers would have chosen to kill kids if this aired afterward. I guess I'll find out in seasons to come. 🤷♂️

Sending good vibes! Hope the water/construction does eventually resolve. I hadn't watched some of these early episodes for ages and I hadn't realised how many kids die, and also how little it affects the main cast! They're just like oh yeah dave died, moving on. It does get better. They do explain a lot of these convenient things as due to 'living on the hellmouth'. So Jenny being a techno pagan who just happened to be the computer teacher can be explained because those who know about magic or mystical energy would want to come live in Sunnydale.
