I think it's great, it's just a joke - some of my friends who are on dating apps reported their struggles with "climbing obsessed" people (apparently a lot of guys and lesbians are into it!). And some other friends are... well... obsessed with climbing. xD
I only tried it out twice but being absolutely unatheletic I didn't keep up with it. But I absolutely see the appeal!
Anyone of you using dating apps? How's it going? An absolute hellhole or did you find amazing people through it? :)

From what I hear from my friends they have the same experience you had: having a goup of people making time in their busy schedules regularly and doing something for themselves but together is a great way to socialize! That sounds lovely. I'm sorry to hear you had to stop or are taking a break. I hope you can reunite with your cult. ❤️

speaking as a climber, we deserve to be dragged lol!!! thankfully I got married before I ever got into climbing, but I would definitely be one of those insufferable people on the dating apps otherwise 🤗

I definitely was the climbing/bouldering nerd. I love it and got all my friends into. Then life and injuries happened and it's hard to get back into, I miss my little cult lol. I wouldn't say it was our whole lives but having a group of people to meet up with every week trying to get better and encourage each other to do better without relaying on them is kind of a great social scene.
