The priest's speech about death/love/discrimination is incredibly interesting and it's useful to read it more as a philosophical take rather than a literal one (duh). The priest is talking as if to say that Death is the closest human beings can get to showing true, unconditional, indiscriminate love because in death we want nothing, we need nothing, we will not value one's life over another and so we will have no enemy - as Thors was attempting to practice. As for the love = discrimination concept, it is to say that by the same logic, all human love is conditional by nature, in one way or another. The parallelisms between that speech and the "what does it mean to be a true warrior" are masterfully intertwined in this episode, and it never fails to give me the chills. The storytelling in this series is truly something special, and the thing is... it only gets better :D
