Candy cane pre-orders will start this week, but shipping on them won't happen until next week, so if you bundle them with sours, or anything for that matter, your order will wait until the canes are made.

Hi, I was wondering how to report a problem. I got two different batches of tins, and the first order was so perfect (and i cannot express my gratitude for bringing back a childhood favorite🧡) …but the second one —some of the silica packets have a strange smell, which spread to the candies, and don’t seem to be working? They were either already humidified or softened within two days of opening.

I would say that I definitely prefer the ones with the coating intact. But it is marginal. If you could eliminate the issue altogether it would be nice, but ultimately I'd still buy more even if the coating is dissolved into the candy. I wonder if a silica desiccant would help mitigate the issue, I'd bet that moisture infiltrating the cans is the culprit. As a fan of the original I would also say that I think the sour coating was thicker, but it has been a long time since I've had them. You are all doing a great job. Thank you so much for what you do. I just tried the babel fish for the first time, and they are fantastic!
So are you saying this is acceptable, or do you think that this is a problem? It is happening with some batches and it may have happened because of the dents you described. Are these candies still enjoyable to your satisfaction?

I can tell the difference in mouth-feel, but the taste is identical. So there is really a difference for the first half-second when it hits the tongue.
I'm wondering if you can taste a difference. What I think is happening is that the coating is there, it just has merged with the candy and should have the same effect.

I love the tangerine sours! They are still my second favorite to the acid drops, but they are great. I found two of the four tins had small dents in the sides, those two had the powder dissolved. The two that weren't damaged had the coating fully intact.
